Anaesthetist
Dr Ruth Molphy MBE was an early graduate of medicine from the University of Queensland in 1947. The medical school opened in the late 1930s. She had originally enrolled in science, but did so well she transferred into medicine and was one of two women graduates that year. She then obtained the Diploma of Anaesthesia in England in 1952 and went on to work in Durham and Sweden, before returning to Queensland. In 1953, she was appointed Supervisor (later Director) of Anaesthetics at the Brisbane Hospital, a position she maintained until 1963. She then took on the directorship of the Chermside Chest Hospital (later Prince Charles Hospital) until 1984.
She was elected to fellowship of the Faculty of Anaesthetists of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1954.

Doctor and Academic
Emeritus Professor Teresa Rita O’Rourke Cramond (née Brophy) AO OBE (MBBS, FFARCS, FFARACS, FFARCS (Hon), DA, RCP, RCS) was a distinguished doctor and academic known for her contributions in the areas of anaesthesiology, resuscitation, and pain medicine.
She began her career as an anaesthetist in Brisbane, then worked in London for a period in the mid-1950s. After her return to Australia, Professor Cramond continued working as an anaesthetist at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and Mater Children’s Hospital. She also pioneered CPR training for surf lifesavers in Queensland, and later for the Queensland Ambulance Service and State Electricity Commission. She served on the UQ Senate from 1978 until 1983, and was also Professor of Anaesthetics from 1978 until 1993. In 1981 Professor Cramond was the first woman elected as president of the Australian Medical Association’s Queensland branch.
Community & Healthcare Leader
Barbara Page-Hanify OAM was the first woman in Australia to complete a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy) at The University of Queensland.

Parasitologist and Immunologist
Bridget Ogilvie is a parasitologist and immunologist. She has received many honours and awards for her contributions to science and medical research. She was made a Dame Commander of the British Empire in 1996, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of London in 2003.
AC for service to science in the field of biomedical research, particularly related to veterinary and medical parasitology, and through support for research funding to improve global health. (2007)
Academic
Emeritus Professor Jill Wilson AO made an enormous contribution to social work education in Australia, and was a former member of the Australian Council of Heads of Social Work Education.
AO for service to the community in the development and delivery of new models of care through the social support sector of the Uniting Church in Australia. (2004)
Neurologist and Priest
The Reverend Dr Cecilie Marion Lander AM is a neurologist who has worked in private practice and at the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital for over 40 years. Cecilie was ordained Priest in 1996 in the Diocese of Brisbane. She has served in parishes across Brisbane.
Health Infrastructure Leader
Kate Copeland AM is an experienced senior health executive who has worked in health infrastructure planning and delivery, and health service planning and delivery.

Health & Medical Leader
Dr Debra Graves OAM is Chairman of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee. She is also a Board Member of Mindgardens, the first translational research centre in Australia to focus exclusively on disorders that involve the brain, emotions, nervous system and thinking processes. She was the CEO of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) for more then 25 years.
She was previously the Chief Executive Officer of The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, a position she held for over 25 years. and Chairman of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Board.
She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Medical Administrators; a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; and an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. She is also an Examiner for The Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.

Urogynaecologist & VVF Surgeon
Professor Judith Goh AO is a doctor specialising in urogynaecology and gynaecologyurinary. She offers women a wide range of surgical and non-surgical options, and has spent a considerable amount of time volunteering overseas in developing countries to treat women.
AO for distinguished service to gynaecological medicine, particularly in the field of fistula surgery, and to the promotion of the rights of women and children in developing countries. (2012)
