Vida Lahey (1882 – 1968)

Beryl Oliver was born in 1922 and has been a painter for her whole life. She studied alongside notable artists including “Margaret Olley, John Coburn, Richard Ashton and Albert Sherman, and maintained a lifelong friendship with the creator of Mr Squiggle, Norman Hetherington.”
During World War II, Beryl was a telegraphist. Following the war, she opened a cake shop in Earlwood (NSW) with her husband, painting in her spare time.
