Financial Assistance

At The Women’s College, we are committed to ensuring that talented and motivated students can access the full College experience, regardless of their financial circumstances. Thanks to the generosity of our philanthropic community, almost $360,000 in bursaries and scholarships was distributed in 2025, supporting 74 residents across the College.

Our Bursaries & Scholarships Program is designed to support students throughout their academic and personal journeys.

  • Bursaries are awarded to students from financially challenged backgrounds who may not otherwise be able to access the unique opportunity of living at The Women’s College. Most of our bursaries range from $5,000 to full bursaries, providing meaningful support where it is needed most.
  • Scholarships are available to both future and current students who have applied for residency. Most of our scholarships recognise excellence across a range of areas, including academic achievement, leadership, community service, sport, and cultural pursuits. Some scholarships are financial-needs based. Scholarships range from $5,000 to full scholarships.
  • The Women's College also partners with The University of Queensland (UQ) to provide partnered financial-need scholarships.

Together, the bursaries and scholarships for Women's College residents enable students to thrive in a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic College environment while pursuing full-time university study.

For an overview of available bursaries and scholarships, please view the Financial Assistance at The Women’s College brochure.

We encourage you to visit this page regularly, as new bursaries and scholarships may be added throughout the year.

Before applying for a Women's College bursary or scholarship, we encourage applicants to carefully review the eligibility criteria and online application process, which is outlined on this page.
