Would you like to mentor a Wooza?
Make a meaningful difference by becoming a mentor in the Women’s Alumnae Mentoring (WAM) Program. This voluntary program connects alumnae with senior students as they prepare to transition from College to career.
We welcome alumnae from all industries and career stages, and you don’t need to be Brisbane-based to participate. Your experience, insight, and encouragement can have a lasting impact.
The 2026 program will launch at the Career Mentoring Formal Dinner on Thursday 16 April, with mentors invited to attend.
Register your interest via the online EOI form by Friday 27 February 2026 and help shape the future of a Wooza.
Further information
Help shape the future of a Wooza by sharing your professional journey, insights, and wisdom through our Women’s Alumnae Mentoring (WAM) Program. This voluntary program offers a meaningful opportunity to support current third-year students and second-year student leaders as they prepare to transition from College to career.
Whether you’re an experienced leader, established professional, or emerging talent in your industry, your guidance can provide invaluable direction, encouragement, and perspective. We are building a diverse pool of alumnae mentors from across a wide range of professions to reflect the broad interests, study areas, and aspirations of our students.
The 2026 WAM Program will officially launch at the Career Mentoring Formal Dinner on Thursday 16 April 2026, to which all mentors are warmly invited. Matched mentors and mentees will receive an email introduction before the dinner and will then arrange to meet independently throughout the year.
You don’t need to be Brisbane-based to participate – distance is no barrier to making a difference. Simply complete this form to express your interest in being part of our inspiring community of alumnae mentors.
Requests of Mentors
The College recognises that mentors provide their time and expertise free of charge and that mentees need to be conscious of this in their negotiations with their mentors. However, in expressing a willingness to be involved in the program, it is hoped that mentors will:
- Attend a Women’s Alumnae Mentoring (WAM) program event if possible – the Career Mentoring Formal Dinner or other alumna event to meet their mentee.
- Agree to meet with the mentee at least twice (in person or online) between April and December within the same year.
- Provide guidance to the mentee as appropriate.
- Inform the Dean of Students of any matters of concern.
- Provide the College with feedback on their mentoring relationship at its conclusion.
